Donna Wymore has been a professional scenic artist for the entertainment and exhibit industries since 1977. A theater arts graduate from Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, New York, and the State University of New York at Oswego, Donna began her career painting scenery for professional regional theater.
In 1984, she relocated to Los Angeles where she worked as a scenic artist for numerous scenery studios over the years. Donna’s work in Los Angeles encompassed many venues of the entertainment industry including theme park attractions, museums, television programs, and assorted “B” movies. From 1997 to 2007, Donna founded, owned and operated Denver based Colorado Scenery, a theatrical backdrop production and rental company.
Today, Donna is located in the Central New York region of New York State. After eight years as a backdrop rental manager at a scenic studio, Donna now works full time for Tuxedo Junction Fine Art, occasionally teaches scenic art seminars and frequently works for other scenic studios.
Tuxedo Junction Fine Art is named in honor of Donna’s two beautiful “Tuxedo” cats, Alice and Dinah, and in honor of Donna’s favorite Big Band, The Glenn Miller Orchestra.
